Nine Inch Nails this weekend
I went to see NIN yesterday, and for those of you who know me: it was probably one of the highlights of my life, to see this band, this incarnation, this way. I got to watch my hero stand a few feet in front of me and play a collection of songs from each of his records (including Ghosts) with the most stellar production technology and set design has to offer. He did it his way, with his friends...

I had NO idea what kinda of rad musical weekend would unfold when we put our minds to filling her visit with badass L.A. moments.
First she arrived on Thursday morning just in time for me to...
5 Lies Indie Musicians Tell Themselves
catbird:
“The internet leveled the playing field for indie music.” Big checkbooks and the marketing campaigns they buy still have the edge. The internet just opened the door for everyone. It’s what you do now that you’re in the now overcrowded room that matters.
“I’m going D.I.Y.” Sorry, but you can’t Do It all Yourself. You need a team; preferably an experienced one. Just for starters:...
