On Wednesday, I will be worshipping at the altar of White and his new friends, The Dead Weather. The Roxy will be hosting them on June 17th at one of the few shows the band will play before their “official” tour begins. Jack White and I (and 498 of our closest friends) will be hanging out together on the strip where three of those friends will accompany him onstage. The set will hopefully give us a sneak peak at their upcoming release, Horehound set to release July 13th on Third Man Records (White’s own label).
Jack will be joined by Queens of the Stone Age’s Dean Fertita, The Raconteurs’ Jack Lawrence and The Kills’ Alison Mosshart. The foursome will also be playing a show in August at the Wiltern but to catch the most intimate L.A. show of the summer, The Roxy will be the place to do it!
