Many Shades of Black — Leaving it up til they tell me to take it down.  I LOVE this record.  I’m going to buy it for people I don’t even KNOW.

Open letter to everyone else:

Dear other “music makers”:

Stop making mindless drivel.   The bar has been set (again).  I don’t want to hear ANYTHING else unless it’s comparable to or better than Consolers of the Lonely.  Lately there HAVE been some good records (The Mae Shi, The Dodos) and I hear there are some great ones on the horizon (Division Day, Snowden).  But it’s been a while since I listened to the same record ALL day just to get to know it better.  And this one did it.

Step it up.

Very sincerely,

Angela and her boyfriend, music.
