Last night I was able to catch the Sea Wolf show at the Echoplex and when I arrived (just in time to catch the main event), I was delighted to see a pretty large turnout.  Alex strolled out onto the stage to make some adjustments before beginning the set with his usual ease-in approach.

The set was peppered with older tunes from the EP, newer stuff from the full-length, radio hits (You’re a Wolf, Black Dirt) and a new track Alex explained is available as part of the Augusten Burroughs Audiobook release.

I was able to catch a clip of my favourite selection from Leaves in the River, “The Rose Captain” in its entirety and in a rare moment Alex flubs the words and says “I lied” which makes this particular video all the more endearing and sweet.

Enjoy!
